Edges
The edges are the only places she’s allowed to creep,
She creeps up to the edge sometimes,
Just inside the lines,
And, listens for the sounds of elsewhere.
(the pain of the edge comes from the sounds of elsewhere)
The edges, impatient with her pause,
Push her to keep up the pace.
