Artena Ball
Born 18 Aug 1909 Bountiful, Conejos Co., Colorado
Dear Little Leta
I, your Grand Father and a Patriarch in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, lay my hands upon thy
head and bless you according to your day and generation.
You were permitted to be born into mortality through goodly parents in the day and age of the world when the
plan of the Gospel has been revealed to the children of men.
Thou were wise and faithful in your pre-existent state and you were permitted to come at this precious time to
take part in the great plan of salvation. If you will continue to do good thru this probation which you are now
passing through and keep yourself unspotted from the sins that so easily beset the children of men, you will be
added upon when you leave this stage of action with principalities and powers and eternal increase.
You will be tried and proven as gold seven times by fire. Satan will try to over throw thee as he knows thou art
one of the chosen vessels of the Lord to help carry on the great Latter Day work in which thou wilt be a leader
among thy sects.
If you are faithful, he shall have no power over you. Seek the counsel of your father and mother and obey their
counsel and advice.
Don’t sow too many wild oats as it were. Seek the Lord in might prayer to help thee withstand the temptations
that will be abroad in the land.
Don’t be deceived by the flattery of man who may seek your overthrow when you grow to maturity. Seek the
Lord that you may seek a good husband of the house of Israel, that you may raise up unto the Lord a
righteous seed to follow in your footsteps in doing good.
The Lord will give unto you a husband who will be worthy to go with you to the House of The Lord and receive
your blessings. You will be a mother in Israel.
You will have sons and daughters to honor your name. You are of the tribe of Ephraim through his father
Joseph who was old into Egypt. You will be blessed with this world’s good, enough for your joy, peace and
happiness.
You will see peace among the nations of the earth, when the Gospel will go forth to every land and clime.
You will be permitted to fill a mission to the nations of the earth and will accomplish a great work in bringing the
sinner and ungodly to repentance. I seal upon your head the gift of faith, wisdom and knowledge, and long life,
that your body may grow and develop to the full statue of your spirit. And if you are afflicted in your journey of
life, you will be healed through faith and the power of the priesthood, till the time comes for you to lay your
body down and pass to the other shore to meet your reward.
I seal you up to come forth from your peaceful slumber in the morning of the first Resurrection crowned with
immortality and eternal life.
These blessings I seal upon your head by power and authority of the Patriarchal Priesthood and in the name
of the Lord Jesus Christ…..Amen
